2016 the Lions ended up being ranked 30th in the NFL in rushing

2017 they are currently ranked 18th

Abdullah is ranked 16th of all running backs

That's encouraging just considering how bad the running game has looked overall. It's really a shame it seems it's too much to ask to have all the starters on the line healthy at the same time. I'm guessing that will never happen this year.
  3. Not making excuses, but AA is just returning from essentially a year off. If we can improve the run blocking a bit, and let AA get some space we should be better. I think JBC needs to be less predictable with play calling in the first half, and lets get a look at what Tion Green has to offer in full game speed.

Running games around the league aren't overly impressive right now.

Run blocking hasn't been great, Ameer is doing a lot on his own.

Have been tough D's so far. Be interested to see how the running game does when they get a softer D.

When you run the ball more. You have more rushing yards.

    Simply mind-boggling isn't it?

Some old timer on Sirius NFL channel was talking about how bad the O line play has been in recent years all around the league. Citing mainly how they are being taught or play in college fundamentals that don't translate to the pro game.
