I agree. I'm not downplaying the impact of mental health issues, nor am I saying that it is impossible that he's dealing with them. I'm saying that...everything I read just stinks of a very common situation that happens to more than just celebrities/athletes. People do not get the help they need because their family and, sometimes, even the law, makes excuses for them. This, in turn, teaches them that there is no real accountability. Then, their behaviors...while manifested through the mental illness...become common and accepted. From my experience, even those with mental illness (I'd go as far as saying 'especially') need to be held accountable. It is unfortunate that they often are not, until they have already developed some very bad habits.
